ABOUT ME

Sheila Reeth was born in Glasgow, but has lived in Somerset for most of her life. Raised with a strict naval background, the luxury of imagination and its boundaries were denied her as she was growing up.
Married with two grown-up children, Sheila now has the time to spend on writing the stories she only dreamt about for so long. “They take me on journeys of their own, and I follow them willingly to the end”.
I have been writing since I was very little, but always screwed the paper up and threw it in the bin!
I wasn’t confident enough to produce anything for others to read

Serious writing took hold of my life when I was in my teens, but with a long work schedule and chores to do at home, it took a back seat for another few years.
Evolving were ideas of mystery, horror, unsolved history mysteries and science fiction.
The spark was reignited when I happened to get into a science fiction series.
ST: Voyager had become my target and I sent scripts to Paramount.
They were never considered as the series was already drawing to a close.
Continuing to write them, I had a bug which I had to get out of my system.

Poems were easier to write and the main ingredient for them was LIFE!
I look at something negative and turn it into a fun positive.

Began school in Glasgow at the age of Four and by the time she moved to Wales (St David's) She could join letters! It may seem like nothing much in the way of an achievement by the age of Six, but she soon moved to Ilchester in Somerset where children weren't supposed to join writing yet so progress was reversed and she lost interest.
She was a keen artist by Ten and developed her skills throughout her school years. although Maths always took a back seat.
Sports was her next love and she participated in as many School and House matches as she could.
Hockey, Badminton, Netball and Rounders.
